I'm a Louisiana girl, born and raised, but I have lived in Arkansas long enough to call it home. I've been happily married for 23 years and we've been blessed beyond measure with four amazing children. For the past 19 years I've been a stay at home mom to those sweet kiddos, and I'm forever grateful for the opportunity to be at home with them. In my spare time I enjoy volunteering, mostly at school & church, but I also love baking & cooking, fall weather, a book that I can't put down, seafood, chick flicks, craft fairs, and road trips. Being a small business owner has always been a dream of mine, and now that my kids are a little older the timing just felt right. 

 

Why an errand service? Well, we've moved many times over the years, both before having kids and after, and there were certainly times I would've loved some help with errands while my husband was traveling with work, or when I had sick kids and needed things from the store, or when we had company coming and I just couldn't get it all done in time. The idea for this business though, is rooted in family and is personal for me. My beautiful Mom was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's disease at the age of 58, soon after my fourth child was born. It was completely devastating in so many ways. I lived several hours away from my parents and had four young children at the time. My Dad was her primary caregiver for the remaining 10 years of her life and although I witnessed unconditional love in action as he cared for her, I also saw how difficult and far reaching the disease was for him as well. When my Mom became home-bound, he lost the ability to grocery shop, attend church, and even go to his own doctor appointments. He didn't want around the clock help, but having someone stop by, as needed, to run errands for him or just to sit with Mom so he could leave for a couple of hours would have been so helpful.
